Western Wyoming Community College Announces A New President « Back to Search Results

After a six-month long national search process, the Board is pleased to announce that they are completing contract negotiations and expect to have a signed contract for official acceptance next week at the April Board meeting. 

At that meeting they will officially appoint Dr. Kimberly Dale of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, as the next President of Western Wyoming Community College.

From a pool of 54 applicants, Western’s Presidential Search Advisory Committee, composed of community members, and current and past College personnel, narrowed the applicants down to 10 candidates and recommended to the Board of Trustees for further consideration.

Upton is located 70 miles east of thirteen open pit coal mines, including the Thunder Basin Coal Mine, the nation's largest. Upton and Newcastle are on the railroad right-of-way that ships most of the coal to midwestern and eastern markets. There is an average of 75 Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad trains that pass through Weston County daily. This is a train watchers heaven!
