Energy crisis good for new business

An economic downturn is a “perfect time” to start up a business, a state economist said.

The 2016 Kauffman Startup Index — a national survey focusing on new business creation and business startup activity —  rated Wyoming third among smaller states for startup activity. Jim Robinson, Wyoming Department of Administration and Information principal economist, said Wyoming’s economic turmoil likely gave people the opportunity to pursue ideas they might not while working in the energy field.
