ENDOW recommends investment in education, infrastructure, entrepreneurs

As 2017 came to an end, members of the ENDOW council looked ahead – not just to the new year but also to coming decades filled with economic growth.

The council recently made recommendations for stimulating the economy in the coming years, and Karen Hostetler, council member and Buffalo resident, said those recommendations have the potential to positively impact Johnson County, from funds for technical certificate programs to dollars to help local startups.

“I know everybody on the council feels really good about the recommendations and feel that they could have a positive impact on the economy all throughout the state – including Johnson County,” Hostetler said. “It will be exciting to see what happens next.”

ENDOW, which stands for Economically Needed Diversity Options for Wyoming, is Gov. Matt Mead’s initiative to diversify the state’s economy over the next 20 years. Its executive council released its preliminary findings in December.
