Business Council releases county-level housing data

A shortage of the right type of housing to fit local needs is a common challenge for all Wyoming communities.

Unmet housing needs lead to higher costs for families, a shortage of workers for businesses and fewer resources for local governments.

The Wyoming Business Council’s updated housing profiles offer an overview of the variety of housing struggles faced by each county. The profiles, which can be found at www.wyomingbusiness.org/commtoolbox, address commuter patterns, poverty, unemployment rates and how much of a family’s income is committed to housing costs. Each profile then draws conclusions from this wealth of data that may point local leaders toward potential solutions.
